Every effort has been made to carefully study the biblical references to creation and the early history of the earth—before, during, and after the flood. Some verses carry profound implications for how we interpret the young earth account today, while others may be easily overlooked or misunderstood.

My goal has been to learn as much as possible from respected voices in the creationist community, including Ken Ham, Dr. Del Tackett, and others. While scholars and theologians have long sought to faithfully interpret Scripture, human understanding is not infallible—and sometimes, even well-meaning interpretations miss the mark.

For the first 60 years of my life, I was taught—by pastors, teachers, theologians, and Bible maps—that Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments, was located in the Sinai Peninsula. However, a lack of any evidence in Sinai, overwhelming new evidence from the land of Midian, including eyewitness video footage, local history, a closer look at Scripture, and a willingness to re-examine long-held assumptions, has led many—myself included—to conclude that the true Mountain of Moses lies in the desert of Midian, in modern-day Saudi Arabia.

Sometimes Bible scholars lean too much on presidence “we’ve always believed this way,” which leads them down the same old path.  This paper is the conclusion of wondering, pondering and finally researching the various beliefs about Creation, the Earth, the Flood, Evolution, etc.  I tried everywhere possible to agree with my Young’s 1898 Concordance along with Ken Ham and Dr. Del Tackett … but evidence around the earth let me write this paper.
